In January 2016, 160 Endorsers, Associate Endorsers, Chaplains and Guests came to the Hilton Mark Center for a three day conference that featured: 
  • Dr. Greg Jesson, Director of the Center for Ethics and Public Life at Luther College, gave an address; Military Chaplains as the First and Last Line of Hope: Serving Those in Harm’s Way.
  • The Elizabeth Dole Foundation's Executive Director Steven Schwab and Foundation Program Coordinator Laurel Rodewald, spoke on the Foundation's Hidden Heroes Coalition, which seeks to address the need for military caregiver support. 
Hidden Heroes Presentation
  • Endorsers Diana Dale, D.Min, Ph.D. (Worklife Institute) and Rev. Craig Mueller (the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod), brought attention to the efforts of their ministries to support the caregivers of veterans.
  • Rabbi Dr. Elliot Salo Schoenberg, International Director of Placement and Associate Executive Director of The Rabbinical Assembly and Dr. Keith Travis and Randy Edwards, North American Mission Board, led a best practices interactive workshop entitled: Bridge to Civilian Life.
  • Dr. J. Val Hastings, Founder and President of Coaching4Clergy, presented on the importance of asking using Coaching as a Tool for Transitions.
  • Jerome A. Hinson, CAPT, ChC, USN, Executive Director of the Armed Forces Chaplains Board, gave a Policy Update on Endorser Travel.
  • The Southern Wesleyan University Singers performed at the National Cathedral and during one of the conference's lunches.

  • BG Tammy Smith, Commanding General, 98th Training Division (IET), spoke on My Journey to Authenticity.
  • Daniel Briggs, Esq., Director of Military Affairs for the Alliance Defending Freedom, gave an address entitled Defending Religious Liberty in a Time of Change.
  • Rev. Ruth Everhart, author of Chasing the Divine in the Holy Land, led an introspective discussion on Spiritual Pilgrimage as a Metaphor for Change; The Pilgrim Way.
